The word “mojo” ( mō-jō ) was first used in 1926. It can be defined as magic power, a spell, a charm or a lucky talisman. Mojo keeps you safe from evil through enchantment or wizardry. Your personal mojo gives you the ability to control the natural state through supernatural forces.
Your mojo is your passion, spiritual light, drive and magnetism. Your mojo is the joy that you feel and the success that you manifest. Mojo is your very own personal magic.
When you lose your mojo the light goes out, your passion fades and depression may start. When you lose your passion for life, your energy drops. You may find yourself afraid. Instead of moving forward life is at a standstill.
Needless to say when you lose your Mojo, it’s a big problem.
Here are two steps to help you get your Mojo back.
First Face Your Fears
with Quotations
You have to be able to clearly see what you have in order to overcome it. Because we are afraid of feeling afraid, it may become easier to avoid feelings.
The first step is counterintuitive. You must face your fears, in order to let them go. In some respects fear is a self-created blocking energy which stops us from truly experiencing peace and feeling the Mojo return.
“Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold.” Helen Keller
“Do the thing we fear, and death of fear is certain.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Therefore, to truly liberate ourselves, break down the barriers within us that keep us fragmented, and truly grow as people, we must first be willing to feel and deal with these fears.” Mateo Sol
“I’ve loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.” Galileo
“We grow fearless by walking into our fears.” Robin Sharma
Then Accept Yourself
with Quotations
This is the time to stop running and look at the things you are afraid of with clear eyes. This is when you finally discover that fear can be managed or maybe eliminated. The irony is that when you look at some fears they disappear. You don’t have to be afraid anymore.
When you accept yourself it feels like you are coming alive again. It’s time to get your Mojo back!
“When you let go of who you are, you become who you might be. Learn the alchemy true human beings know. The moment you accept what troubles you’ve been given the door will open.” Rumi
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”Howard Thurman
“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.” Lao Tzu
Don’t fight with fear, don’t try to change it, you don’t even have to judge it. Stand your ground. Take a good look….then let it go! And accept yourself. It’s going to be okay.
As the fear fades away your Mojo will most certainly come alive again!
